Spotted in Blacksburg, VA yesterday. I approve of this plate. Also I never knew you could customize a plate with a “&” in VA. Neat! I don’t think we can do this in TX. We can, for some ungodly reason however, use a “”. I work with a guy who has “ ELEC” on his Telsa. Yeah, I don’t know either.

I have never seen one with an ampersand. I don’t really see a lot of custom plates around here, though. Just college plates. Kentucky offers one for each of its major colleges. We have a WKU one on my wife’s CX-5 since we are both WKU alumni.

TX actually has several from universities outside of TX including ones you’d expect from neighboring states like LSU and OU, but also places like Arizona State and Purdue.

The only restriction we have on plate characters is that one of them has to be either a - or space if you’re using the whole allotment.

I saw Texas plates with a U. Of Ar-Kansas theme the other day. I couldn't control my rage.

Same thing here in TX except the heart and star count like a dash as well. Saw “HEDG FND” on an RC350 at the airport the other day. I believe they charge more if you use the whole allotment. Apparently this is available:
